There are certain types of adverse credit which unfortunately will not qualify for this particular facility, these are current or discharged bankrupts (if your discharge was more than 5 years ago you should apply for this account), current IVA's and current CVA's, large amounts of defaults (several £thousands) also we cannot place an account with any institution the customer has outstanding debts.

How our Guaranteed Bank Account service works
1. How can you get me an account when I can't?
Over the years we have developed special relationships with most of the high street banks, and because we are one of the leading banking agents in the UK, we are able pass on these benefits to our customers.
These Bank Accounts are normal high street accounts offered to you on their regular terms. We work very closely with many of the necessary institutions and banks to open 1000's of accounts every year. 2. What do you charge and will it work for me?
Your application is dealt with on a personal basis all the way through the process, we do not receive any commissions from the banks and thus we must charge you/your Company for this service, our fees vary and are based on the type of account selected is usually dependant on your personal circumstances, and with which institution we can place you, the account you have selected is Option 1 a full business bank account, total introductory fee £99 inclusive.
3. How easy is the process?
We do all the work and organisation for you. You are required to complete a simple application and the FSA (the Bank's governing body) require to take your ID to a bank to be verified. You will not be required to attend an interview or produce a company plan. We do all the legwork!
4. How long will it take to open my business bank account?
We would never mislead our clients into thinking this process is super fast, if a business is desperate for an urgent banking facility then our option 1 would probably disappoint, account approval is usually dependant on how busy the banking institution is at the time of application submission. The Banks advise as a general guide to timescales once they are in receipt of an application the process usually takes around 7 to 21 working days.
Once we have received the signed Bank application and mandate back from the client, we forward it to the relevant institution via Royal Mail, they usually take around 7 to 28 working days to complete the process, this procedure cannot be hurried and sometimes take a little longer, however, should process exceed this timescale then we will of course be happy to chase the application.
Please be aware that the Bank will in all cases require a contact telephone number and in most cases will need to make contact with clients, calls are usually received as call withheld or 0845, please make sure you respond to these calls the banks are very busy and it will delay your application if no contact is made.
5. What if I have been refused by some banks?
We have arrangements with many banking institutions which give plenty of options to our placement team. In the application form we ask clients to name any banks that have refused clients an account, so that we can avoid them in the first instance.

7. What Identification Documents do I need?
Please supply 1 from each of the following ID
Picture Identification
- Passport
- Full drivers licence (Photo Licence)
- European Union national ID card
Confirmation of Residence
- Utility bill – no older than 3 months
- Bank statement - no older than 3 months
- Council tax bill – present year only
- Full drivers licence if not already used as your picture ID
- Limited companies will need a copy of their incorporation certificate (NB if client does not have the certificate they can obtain one from our store.
- Soletraders / partnerships how have traded will need to produce a copy of there turnover.
- A qualifying discharged bankrupt will be required to produce a certified copy of the original discharge certificate issued by the courts, if you do not have this document contact the court who issued the bankruptcy and they will supply you an additional copy for a small charge.
- In some instances the Bank also require an original Experian / Equifax report not clients own downloaded copy.
- Written account of why/how the debts have been incurred, must be accurate with amounts
All documentation MUST be addressed to the person presenting the documentation.
8. Our Guarantee
This service is for a guaranteed business bank account and as such should our dedicated new accounts team will work with you all the way through the account opening process until we are satisfied our clients have the very best possible account to fit their particular circumstances, if we fail to obtain the selected account we will make a full refund less £15 admin fee, however, FBSL's dedicated team will do everything possible to ensure this scenario does not occur. Our guarantee is base entirely on the information provide by the client to FBSL at the point of sale. In the event this information proves inaccurate and the Banks findings prevent account approval, then our guarantee would be rendered invalid and any fees paid would be forfeited. Should this instance occur we will not abandon our client, without any obligation we will apply to other institutions but this could no longer offer the service under our guaranteed facility. |
