Option 9 is our only business account choice for those who are currently/previouly been in an IVA / CVA's or have outstanding issues with all the other banking institutions we would normally apply to.

This account is availble to limited companies, soletraters, partnerships and charities, most poor credit rated applications are accepted, however CVA's and IVA's only have a 50 / 50 sucess rate.

If you are a serving IVA / CVA then this is probably your only banking option for an high street bank. The account offers limited features, and isn't particularly designed for large business activity, usually this type of account only serves as a money in, money out account.

Limited Companies are required to have at least 2 serving DIRECTORS to sign on the account.
The account is not now opened on the same day, your application is sent to head office for processing.
Account approval can take upto 21 days for approval

This is a very basic account but will help you to function as a business.
If you have been rejected everywhere else for a business account then this is probably your best option, hoever the account is placed with Halifax thus should you have any present or previous issues with them then you will not qualify even for this basic account.

Step 2 - Telephone the branch and advise you want to open a “Treasurers Passbook Account” do not accept any other account they suggest you will in all probability get rejected, advise you have bad credit and would fail their credit score..

Step 3 - On the day of your appointment take all the required documents advised by the bank and attend on time, in most instances the account is sent off for approval which can take upto 21 days.

Very impotant note - When ringing to arrange your appointment should the phone ring more that 5 times you you will be diverted to customer service, better to hang up and call again immediately (you will eventually get through) and speak with the local branch.

Q: I am a current bankrupt - will I qualify?
A: Probably not, we have manged to help a few people but there is red tape and many get refused.
Q: I am currently in a IVA - will I qualify?
A: You have a 70% chance, we probly help more people with IVA's get this account than any other type of adverse credit but still that only equates to approximately 60 to 70%.
Q: I have fraud claim made against me (CIFAS) - will I qualify?
A: No, you will need to resolve the fraud issue before applying.
Q: My Company has a current CVA - will I qualify?
A: You have a 50% chance.
