The most difficult part of opening a full business bank account for those clients with adverse credit is the time it takes to complete, we have solved this problem by help you obtain a 2nd business account ... a basic account, which in most instances is opened on the day of your bank visit (usually new start-ups only), giving you the facility to start depositing cheques from day one. As an added bonus we also help you obtain a full personal bank account to give you all the banking needs you will ever need...
How It Works
Account 1 - Full Business Account - Assuming your Company is a new start-up, ie new limited company, soletrader or partnership etc then the following procedure is usually the norm. We complete the all the business application forms, send them to your stated address for checking and signing, assuming all is correct you are required to take these and any other documents stated in our accompanying letter to a recommended local branch, there member of staff will verify and retain your ID etc, which are then sent to a central department for processing (accounts are not normally processed in your local branch), this is where time delay can occur, following approval documents are returned to your branch, at this point the procedure is discretionary, the business manager usually forwards all account details direct to you via Royal Mail, however he/she may choose to request you attend a short interview.
Established Companies are required to provide more documentation i.e. company accounts etc, thus account approval can and usually does take much longer.
The time scale for processing this type of account from receipt of your application by the bank is approximately 10 to 28 working days but can take longer.
Should your adversities prove to be none or very mild we will place your application electronically direct with the bank who will contact you to confirm your details, in this instance the process is much quicker and usually takes a few days to attain approval.
Account 2 - Basic Business Account- We complete the all the business application forms, send them to your stated address for checking and signing, assuming all is correct you are required to take these and any other documents stated in our accompanying letter to a recommended local branch of Halifax (you must follow our instructions advised in the accompanying letter), we recommend making a firm appointment with the branch, there the business manager/ess will process your details and in the case for most new start-up businesses, will provide your account details on the day of your visit, account approval for established companies usually take much longer, if there is more that one owner at least two must ID themselves though not necessarily at the same time, in this instance delay in account approval is possible.
Account 3 - Personal Account – Because you are required to attend Halifax for your basic business account we recommend placing your personal account with the same bank negating the need to verify your ID 3 times. We complete the application form and send it to your home address for checking and signing, once you are satisfied all the details are correct place the application and your verified ID into the pre-paid envelope and post to the specified bank address. This particular account is usually processed in around 10 to 28 working days but can take longer.
Important note for all above accounts - Occasionally the bank may request further information i.e. credit reference report, further address verification etc, this is usually because they are unable to firmly establish certain information, in this instance please provide original documents, out dated or photo copies are no acceptable.

What Identification Documents do I need?

Additional documents required
- New Limited companies will need a copy of their incorporation certificate
- New companies set-up as Soletraders / partnerships require their company letterhead.
- Where Banks accept discharged bankrupts you will be required to produce a verified copy of the original discharge certificate issued by the courts.
- In some instances the Bank may also require an original Experian / Equifax report (not your own downloaded copy).
- Established companies limited, soletraders or partnerships who have traded will need to produce a copy of there accounts/turnover.
