Apostille is required before certain UK documents can be used overseas. This is usual when overseas officials are not able to determine first hand the authenticity of the documents. Please note in order to be certain of a countries requirements, contact the relevant authorities for advise and their procedure. Foersters can assist in the legalisation and certification of documents relating to either UK or overseas. Apostille can also be attached to identification documents (i.e a passport copy) but they will need to be notarised by your local notary first. Legalisation is the process of authenticating a signature, seal or stamp appearing on a document. Documents provided by you are also certified by a practicing Notary Public. This procedure usually takes around 5 to 7 working days. |
